SUPER DAVE & his SUPER GROOVE!!!

Willy from NIE arrived in LA today...May and I spend one and a half hour searching for him in a MEXICAN ESTATE and I finally put my spanish into use although it didn't help that much....
but the best of all was rocking on the dance floor in LA Millennium...

I can't believe it myself, but I had an AWESOME HIP HOP dance class in the Millennium dance studio in LA!

LA Millenium Dance Complex with dances ranging from Ballet to Hip Hop...

Super Dave from LA!

I also made a new friend Ashley from LA. She dances Ballet, Contemporary, and we met her in HIP HOP class! Awesome...

Unfortunately, after this day
my camera decided to take a rest and went into sleep mode...until NOW...

I shall send it for repair asap...

Las Vegas once again!

Sometimes I ponder if I do have friends. Sometimes I wonder what makes you a friend of someone else.

It was only after this trip to Las Vegas that I have really understand what a friend can be, its far more than just a shoulder to lean upon...

Winnie called and called and called until we got a good deal at the RIO hotel! It was awesome...

The Casinos in Las Vegas is free for walking in and through even when you are not 21.

Real Lions in MGM hotel! In the middle of the casino.
These lions are locked in a soundproof glass cage which costs $500 million USD...

Giant M & Ms store in Las Vegas! You can find anything with M & Ms here, ranging from socks, golf balls to guitars...

Not just 4 hours of drive to Las Vegas and 4 hours back, it was far more than a drive.

Thank you Winnie, I am glad to have a friend like you...Can't believe I am leaving you 2 days later, will definitely miss you...Friends Forever!

California Adventure Theme Park! 13 Aug

Amazing WORLD OF COLORS show in California Adventure!

The Aladdin Musical show was great! Can't miss it...Especially the Genie, he sang LADY GAGA songs...

Green toy soldier refused to sign the signature book for my dear cousins...but I finally succeeded still! hahaha...

Nate, our new friend from San Diego who joined us today...We were freaking out from the SCARIEST SCREAMING ROLLER COASTER RIDE here! (Had my very first time on a 360 degree roller coaster)

We may look fine, but this was no ordinary Ferris Wheel, the cabin car swings freely along a metal pole, while the entire Ferris Wheel spins slowing around....I felt like vomiting after...

American Girl's Place & Farmer's Market! Where every girls finds their ideal friend...

There are so many American dolls here...blonde, black, gold, wavy, curly, straight hair...
You will find your perfect doll as long as your mommy and daddy has $$$MONEY!$$$
Each doll has a name of its own and life story behind....

BUT WHAT'S MORE???

A hospital in case your doll falls sick (in case your doll's arm falls off, I guess)
A Salon for your doll to change its hair when you change yours...

After this, we went to the FARMER'S MARKET which had fresh fruits and vegetables...

But what's most amazing was this SINGAPORE FOOD STALL that we found...

'Singapore Banana Leaf'

Unfortunately, we didn't get to try it....

"Too expensive lah! 10dollars for a plate of Nasi Bryani..."

Universal Studio in LA!

Finally reached Universal Studio after traveling for 2 hours from Lincoln hotel at Monterey Park...

Dione, You have to see this! I found Dora the explorer...

Princess Fiona remembers both May and my name, what a princess with good memory...

Las Vegas, Nevada, Grand Canyon with May, Adrian and Anne!

Las Vegas was our next destination followed by the Grand Canyon! There are uncountable CASINOS in LAS VEGAS and you can just walk in like that and play all you want, no security checking you at the doors and no $100 admission fee! There are basically one in every hotel with all kinds of gambling games...you name it, you probably find it in the CASINOs!
This STRATOSPHERE TOWER, part of the hotel where I lived in...They had a Casino inside and I just walked into it without anyone checking on me...but of course, as always a good girl, I didn't gamble a SINGLE CENT!

I went up this Stratosphere which is 107 storeys high! The night view of Las Vegas layed before my eyes...Its theoretically speaking taller than 101 in Taiwan...and I am now confused if Taipei 101 is actually the tallest in the world...Hmmmm....

MOST LUXURIOUS HOTEL in the World! Wynn Hotel...
It shimmers in bronze under the scorching Las Vegas sun!

Paris Hotel, lights all over Las Vegas (where DAY starts only after 8pm)

This is Anne from Germany...(That's May hidden behind)

People come and go, just like the sunset...what is left behind is the moment and the memories captured in real time...

Upon meeting Adrian and Anne, I felt "MYSELF" while hanging out with them (no worry, no stress, just fun, laughters, and more smiles)...despite the sore legs, the droopy eyes and the long walks over Las Vegas hotels.
That's the four of "US" on the streets of LAS VEGAS!
Never seen a desert in my life!
Grand Canyon in Arizona, fascinating view...Do you see the symbolic eagle where I am pointing?

I am glad to have met both of them...

Adrian lives in PA and is from HK, while Anne lives in NY and is from Germany! And Cherry lives in Taiwan and is from Singapore...so I guess that's what made us CLICK! Laughters and joy were captured in photos but life always have to go on, I hope I still get to meet them sometime in the future!

Really nice meeting you two, really and thanks for the constant updates through SMS...

Las Vegas rains 20 out of 365 days in a year...and we were lucky enough to experience it! The most hilarious of all was the fact that I was the only one holding an UMBRELLA(Princess Umbrella lol)!

Rain in Las Vegas was amazing...and we were caught in a little sand storm followed by a rain storm.

We stopped by the Hoover Dam on the way down from Grand Canyon...

Day 5-7 ...Disneyland where dreams come true...

Disneyland in California, Anaheim (2 days)

It was awesome collecting autographs (Mickey, Minnie, Princesses, Belle, Jasmine, Pluto etc.) despite the long queue and the scorching Californian sun.

Are these characters enough? My dear little cousins? : )

Trust me, there are many more to go!....I think I have collected about 15 autographs by now...+ those from Universal Studio.

Sorry Sis, Stitch wasn't here...

The theme park was gigantic and there were so many parts to cover, with roller coasters, themed tunnels, 2D and 3D rides.
We were allowed into the little farm to touch the animals and interact with them, I can't believe they were so tamed (maybe lazy)...

One of this baby goats bit May's hair,  I thought that was humorous...

There you are Mickey, it took forever before we met you...

CHEESECAKE FACTORY
my favorite...there were 20 over cheesecake to choose from the list...
Winnie and May

1st CHOICE (longest name award!)
STEFANIE'S ULTIMATE RED VELVET CAKE CHEESECAKE
with white chocolate, raspberry brownie, cream cheese, whipped cream and original cheesecake.

despite its giant size, I promised to FINISH it...

BEST CHEESECAKE EVER!

Yummy!

Sabrina, do you see this? I hope I could sent it over and share it with you...
but I think its too big to fit in the envelope...

Day 4 & 5- Downtown Hollywood Bollywood...My favorite of ALLLL!!!!

May and I getting to LA from San Diego by AmTrek (left at 6:10am)
The scenery outside the train was fascinating and the train had 2 levels! We were on the upper deck as seats were unrestricted there.
A man recommended that we sit here as this faced the train direction and had better seats...However, this was NO ORDINARY MAN...he was the TRAIN DRIVER!!! Awesome lol!!!

Downtown LA where lights glimmer and people gather for entertainment, museums, tours, music, souvenir shops, food, we had lots of fun visiting different place of interested with our Go LA Pass! (entry tickets were all COVERED by the pass)

Hollywood Walk of Fame where Superstars have their hand and foot prints printed on the ground!

We had a Warner Bros Studio VIP Tour where we physically went to scenes where movies and shows such as Spider Man I, Friends etc....were shot

Location where part of Spider Man was shot...
Doesn't the buildings look REAL?

Trust me,
they are not real concrete buildings.
Pretty on the outside
yet,
Empty on the inside...

Next was to visit Queen Mary where we toured the inner core of the giant haunted ship, it freaked me out and I had to hide behind the guys...as we tunneled through the tour under the deck....creepy....

THEN COMES
MY
FAVORITE of ALL PLACES!!!

Visiting Madame Tussauds Hollywood

We were lucky man...

President Obama happened to be there...

How could we miss a picture with him, right?

Then I saw Robert Patterson....

BUT

Where's Zac Efron???
I've found him too...So HOT man!!! Chilli Buddi HOT!
(Trust me, u won't wanna burn him regardless of how hot he appears to be! haha)

Time for some chocolate Pretzels after a long walk today....
Tasted a little salty yet sweet...

Day 3 & 4- San Diego, Richard Street (Home to be...)

Winnie drove 2.5 hours to get us from LA (San Gabriel) to San Diego (Richard Street). The car had 80kg of Luggage+Winnie+Cherry+May+an Iphone with GPS, we were not allowed to sleep...as this was the only way to overcome our jetlag...

We met Stan(my landlord who has been renting his houses to Singapore students from the 3rd year...) and I also met my very first housemate Senthil! Winnie was hungry and we ate CHEESE FRIES at DANNY's RESTAURANT at 1AM! Awesome! Yum,yum...

Standing outside Richard Street House, all these vehicles belongs to Stan and he has tomatoes, basils, chilli, pepper in his backyard, ppl here love gardening and they plant new plants every new season...

We stayed in San Diego for only a day as we had to meet other Singaporeans back in LA the next morning...Senthil introduced us to Nate and Chris in San Diego and they were extremely nice to treat us and we had dinner by a beach on the coast of San Diego...

Soft sand, soft breeze and soft whispers on the beach...
Still can't believe that I am finally here in America....on San Diego's Beach!
